Invisalign Express® in Charles County, MD

With convenient offices in Waldorf and serving Charles County and St. Mary’s County, Maryland, Sequence Orthodontics offers Invisalign Express® and other innovative orthodontic treatments to local residents who wish to align their teeth, improving their smile and oral health.

What is Invisalign Express®?

Invisalign Express® is a more affordable, five-stage treatment for aligning and straightening teeth through the use of clear plastic aligners in lieu of traditional braces. This new five-stage treatment option is ideal for patients with minor orthodontic issues, such as very mild crowding or spacing, and those with early onset orthodontic relapse.

What is the Difference Between Invisalign Express® and Other Orthodontic Treatments?

Treatment with Invisalign Express® involves only five sets of aligners so it may be less expensive than regular Invisalign® treatment for many patients. The benefits of Invisalign® over braces is that the aligners are removable while also practically invisible, allowing for a natural appearance during treatment and affording the convenience of being able to eat all your favorite foods. The fact that the aligners are removable also allows for easier cleaning and flossing of teeth during treatment.

Although Invisalign® is a great option for many teen patients, it may not be optimal for all. In some cases, Invisalign® alone may not provide enough correction to achieve a successful alignment and regular braces may be recommended.

Who Makes the Best Candidate for Invisalign Express® Treatment?

Invisalign Express® is designed specifically for cases that require only mild orthodontic correction. For other patients, a regular Invisalign® treatment may be recommended, and in other, more complex cases, regular braces may be the only way to achieve full correction.

What is the Duration of Treatment with Invisalign Express®?

The normal length of an Invisalign Express® treatment is 10 weeks, with aligners being replaced every two weeks.

Is Invisalign Express® Painful?

Invisalign® patients may experience mild soreness in the jaw and gums after each initial fitting, lasting for a day or so, but this treatment normally produces less discomfort than treatment with traditional metal or ceramic braces.
